Chips and no oil!!!!Viola, thats how I make my tortilla chips. Its very simple. Its a wonderful appetizer that goes well with Hummus or Guacamole ! You can also go ahead and make nachos!
Serves : 2
Approximate Total Cost : $0.60
Ingredients
Corn Tortillas - 8
Method
1. Cut the corn tortillas into small pieces as shown below.
2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place the pieces in such a way that they dont overlap. You will need more than one baking sheet as there will be lots of pieces. If you have only one baking sheet, then you will have to bake multiple times.
3. Preheat the oven to 350F and bake them for 20 minutes. They will turn into crispy chips :). Watch them carefully and dont let them turn into a dark drown color.
4. Serve it with Guacamole
5. You can also store it in an airtight container and use it probably for an extra day or two.
OPTIONS : You can sprinkle some salt, cumin or pepper and spray some oil so that the spices can stick to the chips. I usually salt my dip very well so that I dont have to salt my chips.
