Cilantro Chutney

One of my favorite chutneys is cilantro chutney. It goes very well with idlis or dosas. Lets see how to make it.

Serves : 2
Approximate Total Cost : $1.00

Ingredients
Cilantro - 1/2 bunch
Onion - 1/2 (Roughly chopped into 3 big pieces)
Tomato - 2 (each tomato roughly chopped into 4 big pieces)
Garlic - 2 cloves
Ginger - a small piece
Salt - to taste
Canola Oil - 1 tablespoon

For Tempering

Dry Red Chilli - 2
Cumin seeds -1/4 tablespoon

Method

1. In a hot skillet add a tablespoon of canola oil and add the ingredients for tempering.
2. Once it splutters add the onion, tomato, salt, garlic and ginger and saute well for 10 minutes until the raw smell disappears.
3. Transfer the mixture to the blender once it cools down. Blend it along with fresh cilantro.
4. Serve with Finger Millet Oats Pancakes (Raagi Oats Dosa)
